JULY WAYNESVILLE ROTARY FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING!

The Board of Directors of the Waynesville Rotary Foundation, Inc. met on July 15, 2011 at Laurel Ridge Country Club.  Attending this meeting were Larry Leatherwood, Patsy Rogers, Ed LaFountaine, Neal Ensley and Billy Case.   Absent were Max Kimel and Mark Bumgarner.

President Larry Leatherwood called the meeting to order with a quorum present to conduct business.  All members stated a “no conflict of interest” for business being conducted at the meeting.

The minutes of the June 10, 2011 meeting were approved as presented with a motion by Neal Ensley and a 2nd to motion by Billy Case.

The board also asked Patsy Rogers to contact Mark Bumgarner, Treasurer and request a current financial statement be completed and sent to all the board members for review prior to the next.

Scholarships:
President Larry spoke with Sherry Arrington, Haywood County Schools Foundation, requesting she re-visit the qualifications of the scholarships before making the spring disbursement.  She assured Larry she would do that.

President Larry also spoke with Laura Ammons, Haywood Community College Foundation concerning the criteria for qualifications prior to the disbursements.  There was a motion by Ed LaFountaine and a 2nd to motion by Billy Case to pay HCC $4500 for the scholarships for 2011 – 2012 school years.   The candidates for the coming year will be interviewed by the board to make the decision for awarding the scholarships.  President Larry will contact the board with the schedule.

The next meeting will be held on August 19, 2011 at Laurel Ridge Country Club.

There was no other business. The meeting was adjourned.
