OCTOBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING!

The Board of Directors of the Waynesville Rotary Foundation, Inc. met on October 10, 2008. Attending this meeting were Neal Ensley, Larry Leatherwood, Bill Bird and Patsy Rogers. Absent from the meeting was Max Kimel, Don Eudy and Ed LaFountaine.

The meeting was called to order by President Neal Ensley with a quorum present to conduct business.

The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved with a motion by Larry Leatherwood and a 2nd to the motion by Bill Bird.

Old Business:

Neal received a list of the Rotary members that are contributing to the “Birthday Scholarship Fund”. It was decided all Rotarians in the club will be contacted to validate the list and to ask the non-participating members to contribute. The foundation board members will divide this list and make the calls.

Larry Leatherwood will also follow-up with the chairperson of the orientation committee to make sure this information is included in the orientation of new members.

Bill Bird will follow up on several items the board needs to review and report to at the next board meeting. This includes discussion of using the foundation as vehicle for tax deductable donations, tax return, and quarterly payments of the birthday money made to the foundation.

Bill Bird presented a sample of letterhead to be used for the foundation. The sample was approved unanimously with the print to be in blue.

The next meeting will be November 21, 2008 at 12 noon at the Waynesville Country Club.

There was no other business. The meeting was adjourned.
