Waynesville Rotary meets on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. at the Laurel Ridge Country Club off of exit 100 of the Great Smokies Expressway

The Board of Directors of the Waynesville Rotary Foundation, Inc. met on October 21, 2011 at the Laurel Ridge Country Club.  Attending this meeting were Patsy Rogers, Billy Case, Mark Bumgarner, Larry Leatherwood, Jeff Norris, Ed LaFountaine, Neal Ensley board members.  Also attending was Glen Tolar.

President Larry Leatherwood called the meeting to order with a quorum present to conduct business.  All members stated a “no conflict of interest” for business being conducted at this meeting.

The minutes of the September 16, 2011 meeting were approved unanimously with a motion from Mark Bumgarner and a 2nd to motion by Billy Case.

President Larry welcomed new board member Jeff Norris.

The Rotary Foundation Banquet will be held on November 5, 2011 in Asheville.  Billy Case, Neal Ensley and Mark Bumgarner are the members that could possibly attend the event this year.

Ed LaFountaine presented a request to the foundation board to support a program given by Voices of the Laurels at FUMC on November 6, 2011. He requested the funds that are donated by Rotarians pass through the foundation for payment.   A motion by Jeff Norris and a 2nd to motion by Neal Ensley passed unanimously.

There will not be a meeting in November unless there is business that needs to conducted.  President Larry will notify the board members if there is a need to have a meeting.  

There will not be a meeting December.  

The next meeting will be held on January 20, 2012 at 12 Noon, Laurel Ridge Country Club.
