PROGRAM NOTES FROM FEBRUARY 3, 2012

AUTUMN CARE STAFF EDUCATE ROTARIANS ON BACK CARE AND AUTUMN CARE SERVICES

The program was presented by Haley Cates, Admissions Coordinator at Autumn Care, and Brenda Cameron, Rehab Manager. Brenda Shared “10 Tips for a Healthy Back” and “Good and Bad Exercises for Low Back Pain.” She stated that perhaps the best exercise of all is walking, and that we Rotarians have no excuse for not getting out there!

Haley explained that Autumn Care specializes in short-term rehab and long-term care.  Rehab is often provided for persons recovering from broken bones and joint surgeries, but also pneumonia and other illnesses. They have a state of the art rehab gym. She explained that through long-term care they provide “a safe and happy home in the final years.” She invited interested persons to call and arrange a tour of the facilities.
